NATIONAL
★ Hertz – If you are 55 years or older, a hire car from Hertz’s ‘A group’ fleet can receive a special rate with their 55 + special. Rates include theft and damage waivers, airport surcharge, VAT, tourism levy and 200 kilometres free per day. Contact them or use code 55PLUS when booking online at https://www.hertz.co.za/offers/55-plus/
★Centurion Mall – Every Wednesday, we roll out the red carpet for our senior citizens with complimentary parking and exclusive discounts at selected stores. Enjoy complimentary parking for the day. Simply present your ID or proof of pensioner status at the parking office outside Entrance 5. Have a look here for more details.
★Builders Warehouse – The Pensioners Discount amount shall be 10% (ten percent) which shall be applied at the cashier and/or checkout online. You need to be older than 60 years old, be in possesion of a Builders card and have a valid S.A I.D. Have a look here for more details.
★ Sanparks – There are concessions in place for all over 60s with a valid South African I.D. This applies only to certain months of the year and excludes Fridays, Saturdays and long weekends. The discounts are for camping or staying in accommodation and can be up to 40% off the normal rate. Have a look here for more details.
★ Ster Kinekor – Over 60s are offered a 50% discount for all movies at Ster Kinekor on weekdays and weekends, up to and including the 5.30pm shows. NOTE: That Ster-Kinekor at the V&A Waterfront (Vic wharf) can receive 22% discount on all tickets except Tuesdays (Please note that this special is only open for Seniors Program. You have to be over 60 years to qualify. Please present your V&A Seniors Program card and ID at the location. T’s and C’s apply)
★Nu Metro – Over 60s can enjoy up to 50% discount on movies, providing you bring along ID. This is not applicable to Wednesdays as on this day everyone qualifies for a special rate.
★ Game – Over 60s can qualify for a Senior Citizens’ Discount Card which is valid each day (Monday to Sunday) The first R3 000 spent will qualify for a 10% discount, though this does not apply to groceries, liquor, insurance products cell phones, airtime, contracts and certain other items. ★ Makro – Over 60s get 10% off of general purchases and 5% off food purchases when using a pensioners card. You also get priority entry to the store and checkout.
★ Spur Steak Ranches has a seniors’ menu, valid for every day of the week.
★ Metrorail offers a 50% discount on all journeys, every day of the week, during off-peak times (9:30am – 2:30pm) This applies to everyone not just pensioners.
★ Intercape offer a Loyalty Discount for Senior citizens. This will be a 15% discount if you are over 60 and in possession of a South African I.D. This is available at all Intercape Sales Offices and their Call Centre (+27 21 380 4400).
★ Automobile Association – The AA Advantage 60+ is ideal for members who enjoy travveling especialy with family and friends. This allows you peace of mind knowing that they have your back as they say “anytime, anywhere” this is for R110 monthly or R1100 annually.
★ Clicks – Clubcard members who are over 60 years old receive Double Points every Wednesday.

★ The V&A Waterfront in Cape Town boasts their “Neighbourhood Icons” seniors campaign, which offers South African pensioners free parking anywhere at the V&A from Monday to Friday between 09h00 and 12h00.
